Thank you for a great first week of school! As we enter our second week, I wanted to share some important information with all of you. · Please help your child remember their car number, bus letter, and lunch number. Knowing this information greatly improves our speed and accuracy. · Please return your child’s car/ bus hat or necklace each day. The K/1 teachers make either hats, necklaces or name tags with your child’s bus letter and address or car number labeled. These are used daily to help locate your child’s transportation. Please return them to school each day. · Please make sure to send a note to your child’s teacher if you have a transportation change. The teachers work diligently to make sure your child gets home safely each day. If you need to change your child’s method of transportation a note should be sent to your child’s teacher and will be verified by the front office. · Please make sure your child has lunch money or a home lunch. It is important to keep money in your child’s lunch account. Students are only allowed to charge two meals, so in order to make sure your child can have a hot lunch each day please make sure your child has money in their lunch account. · Open House/ PTA will be Monday, August 18 at 6pm. We will have a short PTA meeting followed by Open House. During Open House, your child’s teacher will review rules, procedures, expectations, and plans for the school year. This is an important night for gathering information for your student. · 10 for Technology kicked off today. Please help our school my addressing each envelope and returning them to the school. Your child will write letters to friends and family on August 22, and we will mail the letters and wait to see what responses they get back. This is always an exciting time for our students.
