Thank you for accepting my request to join. Ive really enjoyed reading about all the Detroit people, places and things on this site. I grew up on Mendota between Schoolcraft and Davison; went to Monnier Elementary thru seventh grade, Holy Cross Lutheran on Whitcomb and Grand River for eighth grade, and then Lutheran High West (70) on Greenfield. I have the best memories of the Mendota neighborhood, Tower Theater, Pops corner store, Al Pisa Pharmacy, Butzel Pool and Skating Rink. Once I counted more than 50 kids who lived on my side of the street, on one block. So much fun! Thanks again.
