Thank you for adding me to your group, I was born in st helens in 1970 in the old cowley hill hospital (apparently one of the last as all maternity services were then moved to whiston). I used to live in sutton manor where my dad worked in the pit there along with his two brothers, cousins etc (a right family affair lol ). My mum worked in a nursing/residential home in ashtons green parr,where my aunties cousins and grandmother lived. I have fantastic memories of playing in the parks, street in and around clockface, parr, haydock and going to school in sutton manor. We used to have some great xmas partiesin the miners club at the bottom of sutton manor, and always remember all the lads(dads) in the room downstairs having a few beers while we ran around like crazy upstairs !! Even tho i have been back to visit over the years, i recently went back to st helens for the funeral of one of my uncles, oh my how things have changed in recent years. i lokk forward to sharing my memories and the places i loved in st helens thank you again xx
