Thank you for all your msgs and emails. I signed out of FB so I could evaluate where things were, I needed to think clearly about what has just happened. I accept the result of the vote, however, I find it impossible to respect the result from a perspective of fairness and balance. The methods employed by the British MSM were, I believe, in total contravention of what I think a healthy democracy needs to develop and flourish in a free thinking way. Fear is not the way to achieve long lasting positive change and this tactic will only serve to create uncertainty, and, ultimately, will fail to deliver equality and social justice. Looking at the voter breakdown it is patently obvious the over 55s- the baby boomer generation, the BBC generation, stuck with the party political system that has moulded their lives, and they voted NO. The voting intention of the under 55s, however, can only be seen as the rise of the independence generations, and shows me the case for independence is wide open and gaining momentum. We narrowly missed out on winning a vote that would have seen us now beginning to place our political representatives under a very bright spotlight to deliver the best they possibly could for Scotland and its citizens. The same now applies to how we will view our political representatives from the UK government. 45% of voters returned a vote of no confidence in our present governing system, so now is the time to show the other 55% that they were worthy of their votes and NOW is the time to deliver. No ifs , no buts etc. Should there be non delivery of what was promised, we want FACTS as to why they cannot deliver. Apologies will not wash. In Alex Salmond, Scotland has had a politician of capability and integrity the NO campaign simply cannot match. Ever. I thank him for helping to bring us to where we are. We, now, await to see what improvements and progress is to be made in our lives, through accepting Westminsters control. My confidence, or belief, in Westminster control is non existent, ten referendums would not change my mind on this, - Control of Scotland should be in Scottish hands, on this I will never compromise. With the mess Westminster is in, I feel it is only a matter of time before the inevitable breakdown of trust and this time the voter backlash will be formidable. The depths of my disappointment in the result and how it was achieved has turned into an immeasurable sense of pride in belonging to a Yes campaign that argued for a fairer future for all our children. The efforts made by all in the Yes campaign has lifted our nation out from its political apathy and into the age of political enlightenment, history will record our movement as the movement for lasting change. We have shown the world we are a peaceful democracy, especially in the face of the undemocratic mainstream media bias, be proud of what this means Scotland. Social Media has now become our window of truth and it has been flung wide open and the light is flooding in. So, now we are left with Westminster retaining control with their promise we are better together. Will they deliver and make a convincing case for this? Given the haste and panic things were thrown together by Westminster in a last gasp attempt to bribe hesitant voters, I personally do not hold out much hope to see those promises come to fruition, but promised they were.. Now, I have had time to think about everything, I realise the level to which I have personally been inspired, I have been lifted and gifted a greater understanding of where were all at, and the direction we are all going in. I can see a bright future for Scotlands children because I have no doubt whatsoever that they will, one day, become Scotlands independence generation. The dream is alive. Saor Alba.
