Thank you for all your prayers and good thoughts as I deal with - TopicsExpress

Thank you for all your prayers and good thoughts as I deal with this retinal detachment. They mean more than I can ever express. The surgery went well. The hardest part is having to keep my head down while I am up during the day and lying with my face down while sleeping. (Doing this helps the gas bubble that was inserted apply pressure to the retina to keep it attached.) l have to do this for the next couple of weeks. My hubby calls me an impatient patient. So true!!!! I do not have vision yet in my right eye and it is VERY bloodshot. So if I see you in the next couple of weeks, I may appear rude by not looking at you. I am just following doctors orders by keeping my head down. I am grateful I was home in Olympia when this happened and that I had doctors who acted immediately. We had to cancel a trip to our nephews wedding in Richmond in early September. Not allowed to fly. So VERY disappointed. With all of that said I am MOST grateful for the support of friends and family. My life is full of so many blessings.
