Thank you for having me here. I have a query regarding some rhubarb champagne I made early this year.Two of 8 bottles ( racked 3 times and then bottled 3 months ago) have developed what looks like a slimy plug ( about the size and shape of a cork but it definitely not a cork as these are screw top wine bottles) down near the bottom.Would this be the beginning of a Vinegar mother? I havent tasted the champagne yet - just discovered the growth in two bottles. I dont mind if they are turning to vinegar just want to be sure before I toss them if not.
