Thank you for remembering my birthday. I did in fact have a nice day capped off by watching the movie All is Lost starring Robert Redford, a guy who is six years older than I am. It is remarkable what he brings to the screen at his age. If nothing else I do insist on watching an adventure movie on my birthday and this one did not disappoint. Making it all the better it was a gift from my oldest son, Jamie. I saw Mud last year on May the first. Have any of you seen these two movies? If not, shame on you. Really they are great movies. Now, to answer a question that I know Mary Lou Duguid will no doubt pose, what did your wife get you for your birthday? The picture below shows why it was a happy birthday. I now have yet another nonmotorized personal watercraft (float tube) to add to my collection and Im headed to the backwaters, to the swamps, and to the reedy shorelines for a little fly fishing and solitude. I have not yet been fishing this spring but I did go to Florida in February and caught a nice Mangrove Snapper and Jack Crevalle fishing in a canal.
