Thank you for showing interest in Southern Clay! We appreciate your interest in either the club and our activities or primarily in our Fall Sale, Earth Day Sale or others. We are your information location. Come Play in the Clay with us!!! We meet on Wednesdays at 2 pm in the Fine Art Department in room 111. Our Building is located in between Taylor Auditorium and Webster Hall. It can be confusing in our building so please do not be afraid to ask where the Ceramics Department is! We do have Membership Fees, Our Costs are $10 for the semester, and we are also asking that each student buys their clay which costs $10 for a 25 lb. bag. We do have a small batch of clay made already to share for the first couple of weeks, so dont worry if you cannot pay for the clay right away. Some of you might not be interested in using that much clay, so we can make arrangements with other students to split a bag and the cost. Please let us know which option is best for you. We will possibly be hosting an Earth Day Sale in April. It is a great way to buy some last minute Christmas Gifts that are unique and one of a kind! The dates of our sales will be sent to you as we get closer to those times. We will also be hosting a visiting artist some time this semester so be on the lookout for that information when it becomes available! If anything, you are welcome at any time just to stop by our department and watch whatever is going on. Thank you again for stopping by today! Southern Clay MSSU Southern Clay Club is a student organization designed to introduce any and all students to clay. Members will gain a better understanding of ceramics as an art form through hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques. Southern Clay is also a great way to experience the works of visiting artists both on and off campus.
