Thank you for the continued well wishes, moral support, and very generous donations!!! I am so delighted that these contributions will enable me to have peace of mind while I continue being my fathers health advocate while hes recovering. I will be forever grateful!!! There is NO WAY I would be able to do this without YOUR help. We are still patiently waiting for the pulmonologist to get signed and settled into the facility so they can transport Dad (hopefully by Thursday) from the VA Hospital to Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Greenwood, Indiana. Once there I will be able to share photos of him and his mailing address. (The VA Hospital is a federal building and photographs are prohibited inside.) There has been some small advances over the weekend. He has been able to breathe on his own (through his trache) for very short periods of time. This is a good sign and it will help prepare him to build back heart and lung strength before he gets to Greenwood. Its a slow process, but every day it will get better. His heart and lungs are very weak and his heart rate will drop too low if he does it for too long on his own. Please keep him in your happy thoughts!!!
