Thank you for the invite! I hope to be a benficial member of your page. I bought my first Mauser 8 months ago. She is a Chezch built Persian Mauser. I bought he because i thought the Arabic range markings on the sights were neat. I also wanted to make her a project gun. Here are a few shots. She has a few problems i am trying to work on. The first is when you cycle the bolt the hammer comes back as it should. But the cylinder on the back of the bolt is not coming back far enough for the safety to be able to rotate. My safety is stuck in the fire position. On you tube i saw a video about filing the safety in order to get the ramp to slip into the groove but upon careful study of my problem it appears the cylinder is way to far forward for filing to help. Im guessing it is something else. Also how does one remove the stock especially the upper fore grip. I want to strip the stock and refinish it. Anyway thanks again
