Thank you for welcoming me into this wonderful group! Just to introduce myself... In 2010, after a shock redundancy, my life catapulted into an abyss and then ultimately turned on its head after living 30 years with low self esteem, depression and addiction. Now, as an inspirational speaker, my shared recovery and experiences is giving so many people encouragement and motivation. Part of this recovery was aided by reconnecting with nature and wildlife, something I had loved doing as a child. My business as a speaker/writer became official in September 2013 and since this time I have spoken at numerous events for various mental health charities, as well as women’s networking groups and mind, body & spirit fairs. Audiences have ranged from 1800 to 20/30. Recently I was asked to speak in Trafalgar Square with Will Travers – President of Born Free Foundation and writer, broadcaster Dominic Dyer at a peaceful demonstration highlighting the hidden truth behind dolphin and whale captivity, which took place on Saturday 17th Jan. (Please see video link) https://youtube/watch?v=8t93jZV0WZ4 I have also been asked to speak about my recovery at Birmingham Wildlife Festival on Saturday 21st February alongside wonderful guest speakers including Bill Oddie. Being a poet and a writer my verse and Huffington Post UK blogs are also capturing the truth and raising awareness about issues close to my heart, including mental health recovery, well being and animal welfare. Please see link to my latest blog huffingtonpost.co.uk/sharon-bull/trafalgar-square-highligh_b_6500588.html And my story shared by the UK movement - Action for Happiness – one of their most read web site articles. actionforhappiness.org/news/from-losing-everything-to-finding-happiness Look forward to hopefully sharing some of my verse, quotes and thoughts with you all here!
