Thank you for welcoming me to the group! Artie was found at 4:30 AM in horrible shape in the middle of the street just two weeks ago. He basically couldnt walk because of the amount of matted fur on his body. My friends who found him said he looked like he was waiting for someone to save him or for someone to run him over and put him out of his misery. They chose the former, and after he had been cleaned up and seen by the vet and they had kept him for two days, they asked if I could take him temporarily. They are not really dog people, they had company coming for several days, and they are not home during the day, but they had wanted to rescue him and save his life and not leave him in a shelter. Of course I said yes. Well, we all knew how that would work out. We have three other dogs including a Yorkie so it first I thought that Artie was a Yorkie. But now I see that he is obviously a Silky. And he is now a permanent part of the family. I love him so much, and he is recovering very nicely. I made this graphic honoring my friends Kelcey and Phil, who saved Artie.
