Thank you for writing this Review. You hit the nail right on the head. This film was real disappointment for me too. I can live with some artistic interpretation, but this was too much. The Noah movie is a total mockery of the true story of Noah in the bible, it is such an evil anti-biblical movie. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE!! Its outright blasphemy of the Holy Bible, our Holy God and Noah. Just DISGUSTED with this movie!!! The movie Noah Movie is not an adaptation of anything at all. As far as I can tell, both Noah the Movie and Noah the Bible story have in common: a guy named Noah, a boat, some animals. That’s it. They padded it with enough action movie clichés to draw interest from secular crowds, they hid the outright blasphemy well enough to please gullible Christian crowds, and they mocked Biblical theology blatantly enough to delight the critics. You are not suppose to add or subtract from the Bible. If it where a feel good movie like facing the giants good vs evil that might have been fine. However it misrepresents a character in the actual bible the adding and subtracting from it. God says whoa to the man that does this. If it where a movie about Jesus and it had him doing many things the bible says he didnt do would that upset you? The Film Shows “In the beginning, there was nothing.” The Bible States “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1) The Film Shows Adam and Eve had three sons. The Bible States Adam and Eve had Cain, Abel, Seth, and other sons and daughters. (Genesis 5:4) The Film Shows Noah’s father Lamech died when Noah was a young boy. The Bible States Lamech lives until Noah is about 595 years old, dying approximately five years before the Flood. The Film Shows Japheth is Noah’s youngest son. The Bible States Ham is Noah’s youngest son (Genesis 9:24 ). The Film Shows Japheth releases the raven from the ark. The Bible States Noah releases the raven (Genesis 9:7). The Film Shows God used the big bang and evolution (see below for more details). The Bible States God created everything in six days (Genesis 1). The Film Shows Man is to be judged because of what humans have done to the earth. The Bible States Man is to be judged for sinning against the holy and righteous God. The Film Shows Noah builds the ark solely to save “the innocents” (meaning the animals), and after it serves its purpose, man is to die off.
