Thank you for your emails, phone calls and social media comments regarding the Second Draft of the Model Practice Act. We are formulating our official comments for the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB). We will share them with you and the FSMTB when they are complete. Your voices are being heard. As your elected board, we feel it is our responsibility to respond, rather than to react, during these situations. We have several board members on the road, on summer break, or attending COMTA site visits. Our next BOD meeting is scheduled at the end of the August, well beyond the FSMTB deadline. We are making every effort to have discussions through email and phone conference calls to produce constructive feedback within the allotted time frame. We feel that 2 weeks for organizational responses is unreasonable and have already given this feedback to the FSMTB Executive Director. We are doing our best to work with this short time frame and will share our responses with you when they are complete. Please be sure to post your comments and concerns on the FSMTB survey.
