Thank you is not nearly sufficient to express the depth of our gratitude towards the amazing gestures of love and generosity shown by those who contributed in ways both small and large to the First Annual Curtis Bray Memorial Golf Outing and Dinner. From the overwhelming support of our corporate and private sponsors who helped minimize our costs and maximize the benefit for Curtis’ family, his wife Heather and their children, Sidney and Colden, to the staggering outpouring of support from everyone who attended the golf outing and dinner. It is one thing to open your wallets to charity to make the event a financial success, and for that we cannot thank you all enough, but it is another much more special thing - a showing of humanity and virtue – to part with your money out of love and kindness. The affection for Curtis and for the life he lived – for the man he was – is a demonstration of why those whom Curtis left behind, from his closest and dearest friends and family to those who knew him more casually, need to live in a way that would make Curtis proud. One very quick story that summarizes the way people felt about Curtis: A gentleman and his wife walked up to the check-in table at the DoubleTree last night and asked for tickets to dinner. While being checked in, they were asked how they knew Curtis. The man responded, “We didn’t. I just loved watching him play football and wanted to show my support.” Thank you all, every one of you who played any role in yesterday’s events, for everything you did and will continue to do to honor the memory of Curtis Bray and to help ensure a bright future for his beautiful children. Fred Iriti and Sean Logan – co-chairpersons of the Curtis Bray Memorial Golf Outing and Dinner.
