I had intended writing sooner but was swept up with Christmas activities and then our internet went down! However, I do want to thank you so much for your very kind gesture to Shalom on 7 December. The centre manager has said how thrilled they are with the extra provisions and the Christmas presents for the children were a real treat. Also, the donation of R3 000 has come just at the right moment. The lawn mower broke down recently and so your generous donation will allow the centre to purchase a new heavy duty machine. Very many thanks! Apart from the wonderful gifts, the Shalom team all had such an enjoyable day at the Valley Lodge with your group. It was so exciting hearing the throb of the cars as they approached and then to be met by a line of magnificent looking vehicles. It is easy to understand why you are so passionate about them! The setting for the lunch was also perfect and it was extremely big hearted of you to include us all in on this. Apparently the children and staff haven’t stopped talking about it. I can’t tell you how much we appreciate your magnanimous gesture. Please will you extend our thanks to all the members. It was very good to have the opportunity to meet up with some of them.
