The Camp is unique in that is helps all children who lost a parent that died on active duty. Since the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks on Sept 11, 2001 almost 5000 children lost a parent on active duty from multiple causes: combat, accidents, natural causes, homicide and suicide as well.
