Thank you school employees for all you do! Few other professionals touch the lives of as many people as school employees do. Long after school memories fade, their influence continues They believe that everyone who enters through our school doors can learn and be successful. They do that in the classrooms, the hallways, the cafeterias, the office and wherever students are. Julie Brill from Kentwood shared her suggestion for ways to be appreciated: “A kind word would go a long way. . a simple ‘thank you’ would be music to our ears. . .and a handwritten note would show that parents are willing to take THEIR time to tell us that they appreciate OUR time. Educators are beaten up and down on a daily basis thanks to legislators blaming schools and/or teachers for everything that’s wrong in society. We’re told to get bigger and better results with less funding and a lack of support from administrators. Creativity and control of curriculum has been stripped from us, yet out evaluations are based on how our students do on standardized tests.”
