Thank you so much family, friends and collegues for your well - TopicsExpress

Thank you so much family, friends and collegues for your well wishes. We have gotten into the top three. However, while we have given our best and our stories, it is really difficult to predict if various cultures around the world could relate to our issues and stories. What is important is that we have given our best to the point that many had believed in us, and the advocacy we represented. As I said, with the diverse perspectives and cultures of the world, it is difficult to predict which issues and points will be most valued for them. Nonetheless, it was the journey that was most important. Your comments and likes were instrumental in inspiring me to give my best. My wife tina, sister Kah Ram and Ate Juvy had been amazing brainstorming and supporting teams. My daughter Angel was truly sweet. All of you were truly amazing. As the likes soared beyond 250 and comments 50 plus, I realized I had so many family, friends and colleagues who cared. It in made me realize that this was not just for me. It was for us. Our country. Our fellowmen. Our advocacies. Life is like walking on a tightrope. You could easily fall to the sides. Left or right. It just takes a small wind for you to fall left. But it also just takes a small comment or like in facebook or smile or encouraging word from your wife or sister or family, friends or collegues to help you keep your balance. For me with your outpouring support and greetings I had already won. For me, by being able to speak representing theJCI Phil and the Philippines and Muslim Mindanao..and reading your supportive messages and likes, is already overwhelming. I agree with the saying..we must not always pray to Allah that we win...we must pray that Allah give us what is best for us in the long run. I trust that this course is what is best for me and that I will make the best of this course. The great thing about this journey and battle is that I had discovered something about my wife Tina.. The past 6 days had been an intense rollercoaster ride. Anyone with a fragile heart and a weak heart would have burst and broken down. If it were a car, it had travelled very fast for 6 days and would have had overheated. If it were a glass getting hot water and cold water alternatively, it would have broken up into pieces. But like a real sports car and a true tempered glass my wife Tina remained loving, sweet and supportive all the way. Had it been another girl she would have ranted on why she would stay with her husband for five days inside the hotel room as he did his speech when she could go out sightseeing and see spectacular tourist spots. She could have created a thunderstorm and dropped all the rain on me. But she didnt. She was the master of her own weather. Even if dark clouds would come to her with stressfull news or mommy duties, she could command her weather to remain sky blue and clear the dark clouds on her mind. The past week had not only been a test of my mettle on how I could remain calm and continue to keep on going amidst almost confusing and hopeless drafts and redrafts ifs and what ifs.. I am happy to have seen my wife cool, calm and composed in one of the most psychologically and intellectually challenging vacation week of our lives :) My wife Tina and Kah Ram and Ate Juvy were also amazing rainstorming partners. I think they could well compete on their own. Although Kah Ram been my brainstorming partner since I was in high school. Tina on the hand had been my brainstorming buddy ever since we laid eyes on each other. Thanks mylove Tina..this wonderful week had just shown how you truly are the most amazing woman in the world. You are not only beautiful on the outside and inside. You are also made of the toughest elements in the world.. Again, family, friends, collegues..thank you for believing in me. I have accepted being 2nd the Asia and the Pacific. As second I can continue working and helping address our gargantuan challenges in Mindanao. If I had won, it would have meant another 4 months of sleepless nights and more difficult is to save up to go to Germany. Even just coming to our neighbor Japan is already quite a Challenge. So Alhambdullilah for the blessings and the experience. More than the winning it is the training; the journey; the roller coaster ride; the insights; the representation; the message sent; the memories created; cultures lived; friends made and thoughful friends discovered. Magsukul magbalik. Salam duwaa pa katan
