Thank you so much for the ones who choose to read the devotional thoughts I post on face book. For some reason, I sensed the need to write out in full todays devotion from my devotion book, Encouraging Words In A Discouraging World. I know its lengthy, but believe there are some of you who need encouraging today. Thank you for taking the time to read it and my prayer is that you will be blessed: I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27 When you look at life, you sometimes think of it in terms of difficulty. You think about how difficult it has been or ponder an upcoming difficult decision that must be made. From your vantage point, you wish things would ease up so you could experience some better times. Life does have some good times and you have good friends. Thats helped you make it to his point, yet you feel certain the future is becoming more uncertain. You may not be able to do a lot, but there is one thing you can do that will make a difference. Spend less energy being concerned about your future. You have a God who can change, cancel, or create anything for any situation. Life-changing events in your life can happen by a mere word spoken by Almighty God. God does it with no effort. Compare that to the mental, emotional, and physical energy drained from you because of the uncertainty in your life. When you think of impossibilities, think of all the possibilities from God. He created something out of nothing. Consider what He can do with someone who undeniably believes all things are possible. Let your mind and energy be turned away from turmoil and move to a total trust in the One for whom nothing is impossible. God has no fear of His enemies. They really become amusing to Him as He sits on His heavenly throne and laughs at their feeble efforts to do something outside of His will. Its wonderful to have such a God. What would be even greater is to make your future of no concern to you. Why worry about it when you can trust God, who has absolutely no worries about it or anything else.? How you choose to move into your future is determined by how you allow God to move in your life. Give Him total freedom in your life, and you can have a future free of worry and desperation. No amount of worry will change anything about your future. Yet a little more trust in Him can bring about a change in your future you dont want to miss. Father, thank You for the life Youve given me. I know Ive not given much back to You in terms of trust and faith. Help me remember how You laugh at Your enemies. Help me move into a future thats free of worry. Amen.
