Thank you so much to everyone who came and supported our very first Kaleidoscope show last night. As every thing in life it was a learning curve and I do apologise for the late start and finish of the show. Next time hopefully everyone will make it to the end of the show and the ones that do will be awake! I just have some thank yous to say - those who know me will know I am game for pretty much anything on stage except being me and talking on stage so I forgot to thank so many people 😳 Firstly thank you to the amazing Mel Mel Rufus who I miss terribly and while you are a fab MC I just had the ulterior motive of spending time with you !! You did a stellar job making sense of my huge run sheet which you only got at 3.30 am the day of the show!! Thank you to the incredible talent that is Rebecca Liu-Brennan. I know you have so much on your plate right now and I am so grateful for all your help in letting me use so many of your acts in the show. I am also so thankful for you re-blocking the 12/u string dance as it was a real highlight in the show and I know that would have been a nightmare !! Thank you to Michelle Michelle Cameron, Nicole Cameron and Jasmine Straga from PAWS for all your help also with the show. Thank you to all the PAWS dance mums who helped so graciously and made this possible - Tara McKay my unshakeable stage manager Rebecca Constablesoonsingle for keeping order in the change rooms and helping the performers backstage - Dearne Lam for manning the DVD stall and for all your other support ( and your dancing) - Julie Lonard for helping to bring props and helping dee - Brooke Grosse for making the shirts for the vocal group and all your support. Thank you to my friends who supported the show by coming - I had no idea it would run so late and I am so sad I never got to say hello ( I had imagined us having a nice drink at the end - my head clearly not planted in reality - Toni Starr, Elouise Leanne Spicer, Lola Guerreri, Gabrielle Todd, Peter Quinn!! Thank you to the venue Windsor Function Centre for letting us have the room and for all your help. Thank you to Theatre of Dreams for letting us put on the night. Thank you to my friend and partner in crime Charley Mason director of Acro Dance for being you!! It was lovely to see your little ones perform and see how well they have done in only 6 months of dancing. Thanks for your beautiful fan dance. Thank you to the delightful Terri Hughes-Everard for your spectacular performance and for being so humble and beautiful. Thank you to all the parents for letting your children perform, supporting the show, putting up with my disorganisation and all your nice feedback. Thanks to Tamara Miles for your support. Your students were all amazing and so professional in conduct. A huge thanks to Blake and Blake for stepping in last minute to play and doing such an amazing job. I am so sorry for the technical issues and your mic - your own song sounded really great. I hope us crazy dancers have not scarred you for life! Thank you to Monica Jones for being the kind wonderful person you are to me! Thank you to Peter Truong and John Bellamy for letting us collaborate on your song and supporting the show! Thank you to Jeff Tan and Rob Studdert for photographing the show and Adam Dionisio for filming. Lastly thank you to all our kaleidoscope performers for being so talented and amazing - you have truly inspired me! Danie Newham for your help with Krista and Paris - they looked fantastic! Special mentions to Jordan Adams for still coming when you were sick, Jasmine Dicker for learning a song in less than a week when you were sick, Nellie for being brave and awesome, Sophie Smith for being not just talented but so helpful, Thomas Norman and Imogen Mackay for an incredible tap impro, Jazlyn Richards for last minute amazing-ness and to all the vocal group for your hard work. You sounded great especially with just 2 rehearsals!! Last thank you to my fiancée Walter for putting up with me and my crazy ideas! To anyone else who helped in any way thank you! 😄
