Thank you so much to everyone who offered to transport dogs up from Illinois. Although it didnt work out at the time, we appreciate the offers so much! I was never more happy to see the shelter than I was at 2:30 this morning, with six dogs in tow! After a very long day (but so worth it) the Spectacular Six and I arrived at CCHS from Illinois. These dogs are super sweet and so lovable, but they need to learn how to be dogs, how to trust, be socialized and learn what it means to hear the words walk, treat, toy, and so on. While they had tails wagging and gave kisses, they also didnt want to leave their crates. But, thats what happens when you live life in one. We know that these amazing dogs will come out of their shell and we hope you will help! If you want to stop by when we are open and can spend time with a dog, that would be great! Any amount of human contact, even five minutes, will help these sweeties. :)
