Thank you to Eugene legislators who addressed constituents at a town hall meeting in Eugene last night. Especially, House Majority Leader Val Hoyle who after sharing a personal story on PERS said, "I am not going to apologize for protecting the pensions of the people that stepped up and earned them.” Later that same evening when a constituent talked about rolling back collective bargaining rights of educators House Majority Leader Val Hoyle took a strong stance with her response, “I would not support changing the collective bargaining laws in the next session probably and unless there was a damn good reason for it, for the rest of the time I am in office.”
