Thank you to Gillies Mackenzie Photography for letting us share this beautiful image of Amhuinnsuidhe Castle on the stunning North West coast of the Isle of Harris. Amhuinnsuidhe Castle played an important role in the history of the Dunmore family who were so pivotal in establishing our special industry during the early 1840s. The Castle was built in 1865 for the 7th Earl of Dunmore, the then owner of the island. The castle is now operated as a venue for shooting parties and other events. Even today, the Estate Manager and Gillie staff still proudly sport a Harris Tweed uniform as they go about their business. amhuinnsuidhe/
