Thank you to Kanga Roocafe, one the art trails newest sponsors, for serving brunch on Sundays. Around 1:45 last Sunday they noticed the lights flickering, they are one of the only tenants with a key to the basement, so they went do to see what was going on. When they opened the door the smelled smoke. they closed the door and called the fire department, the electrical fire was then put out by our local fire departments. Their quick thinking might have saved the historic Russo building located in the heart of downtown Fredonia which houses at least 15 local small businesses from significant fire damage. As it was they were all without power heat until Wednesday. Everyone lost a weeks worth of income. Be sure to stop in and say thanks while buying a cup of coffee or something to eat. Im headed down there right now on my morning dog walk.
