Thank you to Sally Smith Ganis, Kristen Naquin Johnson, Kristen Zornman, Lori Joubert Cherry, Sarada Leakey, and many others who are picking up the responsibility to care for those left most vulnerable in Louisiana. Folks, government cuts are hitting those left orphaned in the foster care system the hardest, everywhere. Many kids are being cut from any assistance when they turn 18. Many still are trying to finish high school when they age out. It is time for our communities (across this nation) to take responsibility for their care the way we were meant to.
