Thank you to all for the get well wishes and support. I have been home since Tuesday late afternoon and have had visits, flowers, and tomorrow night a meal from Walt and Lori. My family and friends in Ventura were soo wonderful but being home with my critters and back in my environment has to be the best!! We are starting week 3 of IV antibiotics this next Monday and the staph infection seems to be responding. Im aware Im not 100% out of danger, but God has this! I feel better each day and in spite of my neck brace and physical limitations, I feel alive and blessed! I still tire easily and sometimes suffer nausea and weakness but due to my husbands kind help I am getting lots of rest and very little is required of me. I do stress some as Christmas approaches, with 9 kids, 16 grandkids, and a great grandson on the way Christmas usually takes months of planning, shopping and wrapping. Not to mention Christmas cards and decorating but this year with the help of my niece, Teresa Schwan Eads, Nancy Gonzalez, and some friends (and my kids understanding it might not be quite as fancy a Christmas) (after all, its not just about gifts!).. it will be a blessed and special month for me to be grateful for all the gifts of having friends and family and being on the road to recovery from my surgeries.. My home will be decorated, thanks to family and friends, and trees will be up, and all friends and family are welcome to drop by and visit, or come stay during December, we love company to help celebrate the birth of our Savior and share our home for the holiday season. I have so much to look forward to this coming year, including 2 weddings at our home in September and October, our annual street vibrations/candy dance vacation in Nevada with friends David Hess and Shirley Hess (and I should have doctors clearance by then to ride the Harley again), a family cruise with all our kids and grandkids in December 2015, hopefully a wedding for one of my grandkids (cant announce yet!!) and especially the birth of our first great grandchild (a boy) in March! We are so blessed, and I think I just covered my annual family Christmas letter so I can skip that this year?! Lol..
