Thank you to all of you for your kind words and messages of encouragement these last few days. Most of all, thank you for the prayers youve prayed on our behalf. You have helped to make some hard days much easier to bear. Also, thank you Mike Smith. & Joy Smith for a delicious dinner tonight . It was wonderful . We met with radiation oncologist yesterday and James started with chest radiation immediately. He will have 10 treatments. He also has to see a thoracic surgeon and will most likely have a procedure to have the fluid removed from around his heart. Please be much in prayer about that . We expect to get an appt date tomorrow . Chemo is the only treatment for the mass on the liver, but that seems to be last in priority right now per his oncologist at Duke and his radiation oncologist in Dublin, who are conferring with one another regarding his care. Their main concern right now is the growth of the chest tumors and the fluid around the heart, as both of these are contributing to his difficulty breathing. He is now on home oxygen which we are so thankful to have. Jessica arrived today and is on daddy duty tonight. I am going to try really hard to let her have it and get some sleep. I know she will wake me if she needs me. I said I m gonna try:-) Again , thanks for everything these last 16 months , but especially during these trying last few days. We desire your continued prayers as we continue to walk this journey. God is still very much in control and we trust Him completely . Blessings!!
