Thank you to all who attended the VPK Graduation Service. It was a great day for celebration. It is hard to say goodbye, but we know that you will all be a part of our LCDC family forever. Here is the letter that all of the parents received after the ceremony. No it is not mine, it is from an unknown author, but it fits the circumstances perfectly. Dear LCDC Parents, We give you back your child; the same child you confidently entrusted to our care last fall. We give you your child back pounds heavier, inches taller, months wiser, more responsible, and more mature than before. Although your child would have attained this growth in spite of us, it has been our happy privilege to watch their personality unfold day by day and marvel at this splendid miracle of development. We have delighted at each new achievement, each new success, and each new expansion of self. We give your child back reluctantly; for having spent nine months together in the narrow confines of a classroom, we have grown close. We have become a part of each other, and we shall always retain a little of the other. We have lived, loved, laughed, played, studied, learned, and enriched our lives together this year. We wish it could go on indefinitely, but we must give your child back to you. Take care of your child, for your child is precious. Remember that we shall always be interested in your child and in your childs destiny...wherever your child goes, whatever your child does, and whoever your child becomes. Your childs joys and sorrows we will be happy to share. With Christian love, Ms. Dani, Ms. Aubrie and all of the LCDC Staff
