Thank you to everyone who helped collect the containers for our totem pole. We have worked on little pieces of it over the past two weeks and assembled it all today. Each student selected their own face and body shape as well as spray paint color. I spray painted the base colors for them. Then looking at Native American designs and Totem Poles we sharpie faces and patterns on them. I let the student interpret the designs the way THEY see them, a beautiful part of Adapted Art. Last we painted over or designs and assembled. It is 8 ft tall and they were pretty proud of their efforts.
