Thank you to everyone who posted birthday wishes to me today on Facebook, especially my beloved sister Rebecca. I was reminded on the phone earlier today by one Dr. von B___ that this is the beginning of my fourth decade on planet earth, not my third. And to that I bray forth the laughter of the hoary-headed Daoist watching a tortoise slipping on a banana for a hundred years, but giving the old sage a wink all the while indicating that its just a cosmic goof. This year as a Chicagoan I promise to evolve from a rabbit chasing his stopwatch to a sugar glider doing something else metaphorically better with Time. Bide that time friends I have forgotten neither you nor the location of your nests and burrows, and this certified mammal will come pay you all a visit. Another decade of discovery and delight stretches ahead- see you all there!
