Thank you to everyone who reached out to me and my family today via FB, calls, texts, and visits. It has been a long day for everyone. I truly hope our society will someday accept that addiction and mental illness are no more chosen by a person than having cancer. They rob the person they affect of living the life they want to live and when that person ultimately loses their life to the disease it is a tragedy. Left behind are questions, what ifs, and mounds misplaced guilt. A sweet soul is finally at peace and for that I am grateful. Godspeed and RIP Rusty James Savage.
