Thank you to everyone who responded to last nights Facebook post. The number of comments and post likes added up to 210 as of 9:30 pm (Central) tonight. Assuming those who saw the post responded, that means the post only reached 5.8% of the 3,614 page likes. And it was really disappointing to learn from many that was the first post you had seen from us in your news feed in months. This confirms what weve been thinking. Very few people who want to network socially with us are actually seeing our posts. It would seem that Facebook has become about as effective for reaching people as direct mail marketing. When we post something less than 6% of the people who like our page will see it. No worries though. Were going to stay on Facebook. Were on Twitter too. It would be really nice if there was a social network online that was based on reaching out and networking with people rather than its primary focus being on monetizing that process.
