Thank you to my friends and family for sharing my search post that I finally made yesterday. I have to say that I realize my chances are small of finding any birth relatives or answers to my questions. I may never know the why and may never hear a medical history. But what I do know is that regardless of what I find out, is that I have already found out that I have some really awesome people in my life who do care and have said some really meaningful things to me. That helps fill a hole. I dont expect anyone to fully understand the feelings of abandonment or rejection some adoptees experience. Alot can depend on how its handled but every story is different. The point is that how you make someone feel matters and Ill be forever grateful for the people who have made me feel that I matter and offered help and support. You have no idea what that means. My goal as I approach 50 is to be a better person and cherish what is good in my life regardless of what I find. I realize now that I have, at times, allowed myself to dwell on the negative and I didnt think I was worthy or good enough. My new year starts now and Im a work in progress but better late than never. THANK YOU TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND LOVE. IT DOESNT GO UNNOTICED!
