Thank you to my good friends and fellow painters Deb Komitor Studio and Coni Grant for nominating me for the 5 day challenge! The first painting here is a portrait I painted many many years ago, in high school, while I was still Laura Lockbaum. The 2nd painting is one of my early early early! plein air paintings of my old neighborhood in Colorado Springs, Shooks Run. It is a view from my front porch to the rooftops across the street. The third painting is one of my very first Old Colorado City scenes - looking east along Colorado Avenue, with the awning of Gertrudes restaurant in the foreground - do you remember Gertrudes?
