Thank you to our Maple Grove Police Explorers and Advisors for representing the Maple Grove Police Department at the 55th Biennial National Law Enforcement Explorer Conference in Bloomington, Indiana in July 2014. Maple Grove Explorers were one of 245 Posts (2,011 Explorers) that were in attendance. There were Posts from Puerto Rico, Texas, California, and New York. The Explorers competed in a pistol competition and also participated in the following practical events and academic sessions: Crime Scene Emergency First Aid Domestic Crisis Traffic Accident Crime Prevention Traffic Stop Sample Police Exam EVOC (Non-Emergency Vehicle Operations Course) 40. Cal Pistol Shoot Air Pistol Shoot Our teams put on a great display of teamwork, professionalism, and discipline throughout the conference and received the following awards: -Maple Grove, Team A placed 4th in Emergency First Aid: Officer Down -Minnesota took 10 trophies out of the 12 Practical Team Events -Minnesota took 2 1st Places out of the 12 Practical Team Events
