Thank you to our first 34 likes as you have allowed us to now view our insights which gives us valuable information on what is happening on our fb page. To give you some history, we are a couple of Moms who have decided that we need to make a difference to the lives of the pets that are living on the streets with their owners. This is not by their choice, but in most of the cases, these pets are extremely loved and well taken care of, they are their family! We asked ourselves, how can we support these pets and their people? What better way but to provide food and jackets to the pets to start. This will involve very little overhead if we can get the donations required of fabric (ideally polar fleece, velcro & thread) as well as pet food. Last night I was downtown on Granville street and I had the opportunity to meet some great people, an outreach worker and a few street youth with dogs. I asked what can we do to help and I was told they would love dog food, jackets too, and they were asking for leashes, harnesses, and collars. There are similar services to what we want to do, we are aware of that, and we will be contacting them to discuss our best options to be successful in helping. It may be small, it may grow big, we do not know, but we will try, and we hope you will follow our journey and share our posts on facebook, twitter, and instagram. Our overhead will be low, but we will be seeking out donations in the form of materials to make the jackets as well as food, leashes, collars and harnesses (new or used).
