Thank you to the Lafayette County Health Department for hosting a very successful Rural Safety Day. The Lafayette County Sheriffs Office was invited to present ATV/UTV Safety. Deputy Gill discussed many rules and regulations as well as safe operation. Other demonstrations were conducted to include traffic safety, electrical safety, farm implement/pto safety, basic fire suppression and safety, farm animal handling and safety, and a grain rescue demonstration. A great job done by all involved and the 400 students, although a little chilly, seemed to have a great time learning about safety!
