Thank you to this lovely family for this latest review on Tripadvisor. “Highly recommended farmstay experience from 2 families with 16m toddlers” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW I dont normally spend time writing reviews, but I felt the need to really give Elaine and Kens Barcoos Barn Farmstay the praise and recommendation it deserves. We rented the Wardell Farmhouse for a 3 day/2night visit. The house was very clean and had all the amenities you need. It was extremely spacious for our 2 families with 2 toddlers. We especially loved having the fenced-in shady patio so the kids could safely spend time outside without us having to constantly chase them (those with toddlers know Im talking about!). What made this farm stay exceptional for my family was: 1) the type of activities offered: each day was a bit different and perfect even for younger children (my daughter was obsessed with picking chicken eggs and riding the gentle pony) 2) the amount of time spent: when I did my research calling over a dozen farmstays, some charged extra for activities or the length of the activities were quite short. Elaine really loves her animals and patiently allowed us to greet, feed, take pictures. 3) the authenticity: this is a working farm so if youre looking for a fancy luxury place (I think thats the only reason why Barcoos would ever get a negative review), you need to have realistic expectations. Barcoos Barn is exactly as its website says it is, if not more.
