Thankful Day 11: Today Im thankful for freedom. I am free to vote, to worship, to speak...To live without fear. I am free to educate myself. Im free to work. Im free to love whom I chose. All of these freedoms were not free and required the sacrifice of many-- the sacrifice of self, of time with loved ones, of personal safety, or for some, their lives. This country doesnt always treat veterans like they are heroes, instead we throw millions of dollars into pro athletes instead of making sure our vets have insurance, medicines, homes, food, and care. We allow them to fall through the cracks and live in poverty. Im sorry that we do this, but i am forever grateful to those who have served and continue to serve. You are the reason the flag still waves and we can call America our home!
