Thankful For A Change In My Life When I was a very young teen I got pregnant. I moved in with my baby’s dad because I thought that would be the best solution. When my baby was born we had a good little family. It all turned around on Christmas day of 2011. The cops got called because of domestic violence. CPS arrived and asked to talk to me. They told me my baby was being taken for child endangerment. My baby got put in foster care, so I began not to care. I began walking the streets and smoking to ease the pain. I finally got locked up, and I was not able to see my son. The dependency court told me my son was going for adoption because I had no clean drug tests and I wasn’t consistent on my visits. At that point, I knew I had to change. I finally won the case and my mom now has my son for guardianship. When I get out of here I’m going to be able to reunite with him and stay clean. -Jeanette, San Bernardino
