Thankful Tuesdays Thoughts: 1. I am thankful for a boss who pushed me to go to have my toe checked out, who stole my car from the parking lot and had two new tires and an oil change to my car only to return it to my garage. He might have saved me more than I know. 2. My circle of friends are amazing and helped me through my second trip to the hospital. I know frustration set in as they do not want to see a three peat and I have heard all your concerns. 3. I encountered the best nurses once again at UnityPoint Health - Quad Cities. 4th floor north was amazing when maybe I wasnt. I, however, never have seen so many male nurses and that was amazing. If anyone knows how I can acknowledge a few great ones let me know. Crystal, Regina, Brooks and Gonzales were amazing. 4. Not seeing Kylie for a week in person was difficult but I so loved having facetime and seeing her nightly. It was a great night last night having her back home. 5. Art Winstein thank you for keeping Kylies life normal while I wasnt here. Some thought it was odd but she thought it was comfortable and that is truly all that mattered to me. You did a wonderful job making sure she was where she was suppose to and arranging rides when you couldnt be there. Our relationship may have changed from a year ago but you still consider her like your own. Andrew Gale and Brandi Siebke Gale , Mark Miller and Lauren Simmer thanks for the rides for Kylie Wymer. 6. My friends who visited I appreciated the time spent trying to make my life funny. Dori Blomgren Garro your daily morning visits running to the store and all were appreciated. Heather Lee Gray for being there ...simply being there. Julie Nelson Samuelson for your smile and deep conversations...especially when I know you didnt like that floor. My hospital survivalists Emma Caitlyn Reeder and Kelli Bowman your gift was the topic of conversation by doctors and nurses who entered my room. IT ROCKED. Even from Florida Natalie Long made my room beautiful with flowers and words of kindness. Sandy L DePron your plant will now grow on my desk. Finally Julie Pauwels Vanderginst who may never ever, understand what her words she shared with me meant. Countless FB posts from all of you helped me during the day when I had time to read them. I AM TRULY A LUCKY person. 7. Time to make even bigger changes in my life. I will still need to rely on a few of you. Doing this alone can be scary but knowing I am doing what I am doing because of one remarkable girl is well worth it. I deserve to see her grow, excel and live. 8. Take time to reach out today to someone who may need you. I promise they wont forget it.
