Thankful in the Storm (A Thanksgiving Message by Danny Smth) God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalms 46:1). In my transparent faith, my walk with God has been visible to my many devotional readers, the trials faced and loses replaced, today my heart and soul is composed of thanksgiving to my family and friends. Today reminds me to focus on God more, giving thanks and unconditional praise and adoration, those the burden is heavy consumed, my spirit rest that Christ has made it lite and my pathway bright. Recently our lives where stricken as my employment with a Korean company came to a sudden end, the change was not to so surprising, it was already clear that God wanted me to focus on the ministry and trust him to lead me the rest of the way in his purpose and plan. It is not always easy to humble yourself to the challenges of an ungodly world and learning curve that we as Christian must adapt to. Another script to rest on is, Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. (Psalms 46:3-5) The Holy Spirit is always with me saints, even at work, you try to fit in, but cant hide who you are inside., tongues will come out because you can catch your mouth, ooh my Lord, you can see the water of life in the eyes of your boss not knowing what he is dealing with, a branch manger at a bank being touched as you pass, people standing looking at you strangely.. .. It is now that we would reflect on waiting on the Lord even more, being still to receive his instructions... we know that God is shifting us for a reason.. Today we must look ahead for Gods perfect plan for his season of glory in the mantle given, we must thank God even when trouble rumbles our mountain of peace. Today my soul still hungers more ofo the presence of God, nothing will change this. in Jesus name amen
