Thankfully some of the readers who comment at the end of this story recognize it for what it is. One reader wrote, I wish I could get back the five minutes it took me to read this. The writer filled the story with so many curse laden rantings, its hard to know what the message or purpose of the article is...but there really is no message. This person is obviously very unhappy with life itself. This story brings more attention to the publisher for even publishing it. Really Huffington Post? This is not news...this so-called article is not worthy of gracing your pages. Forget the writer, forget what he wrote...its not worthy of a response. Huffington Post and the media at large, please do parents of children everywhere a huge favor and stop publishing the rantings of clueless people who have no heart or soul or compassion for parents trying to raise children...neurotypical or specially abled - its a tough job. There is a better way to sell stories and market a brand. Bashing parents and children seems to be a growing trend...one that does a great disservice to families. The media has such a powerful presence in our society. Free speech, reporting the news and keeping the public informed is one thing...but when its being used to attack families and children, can we draw a line somewhere? We of course have the choice not to read it and simply move on with our lives...but the problem with stories like this is that too many other clueless people jump on the bandwagon with the clueless authors and it further complicates the lives of parents who are doing the best job they know how of raising their children. Can we stop with the criticisms already? I wish I could get back the five minutes it took me to read this article. Thanks for listening to the ramblings of a grieved mama this morning. ~ Annette Brandenburg
