Thankfully there are still places on this magnificent earth untouched by man. Places where nature still breathes it’s own breath, not the breath of concrete and car fumes. Where the only sounds are the wind in the leaves and the waves on the beach. Places that are so holy and the stars so brilliant, and the silence so sacred you cannot help but be moved to tears at its magnificent perfection. Places that nourish your mind, and replenish your body and soul. Seek out these places and remember. -------------------------------- I have just returned from 3 1/2 weeks in Samoa, where my daughter is serving in the Peace Corps. My visit there opened my heart in so many unexpected ways. There were no customary luxuries, no air conditioning, no hot showers, no hot coffee in the morning, no Facebook. But there was a luxury I did not fully anticipate - nature in all its magnificence. These photos were taken on the far end of the island of Savii after we travelled quite a way down a sand road. The road less traveled. There are no villages here, no electricity, no running water. Nature is untouched and it is brilliant. I feel so incredibly refreshed. As I adjust back to east coast time I look forward to sharing a bit of my time there with you
