Thankfulness challenge days 2 and 3. I missed yesterday because Baylee and I made it to Lagoon Amusement Park and we will try to go again before the gross stuff for Frightmares comes out because she knows Gramma hates the gross stuff. Thankful for -- how do I put this--being smart enough to bust some family traits that lead to diseases like cancer and mental illness. I may have some interesting approaches to things but the idea is that there are environmental causes for cancer that are socially based. Repression and avoidance are the worst. Processing your negativity is just a valid part of the human experience. I test very well for strong mental and social health and even tho I might be bold at times, it is all part of the truth. Being angry when you are angry, happy when you are happy and.... Honesty is the most prized healer of all. Quitting can be a lifesaver. And if something is bothering you--it matters!! It doesnt matter if no one else cares about it. I care about you and that makes it matter. How many can that cover??? Thankful for being able to navigate the federal system to get the information we needed for my Chris and to get it to the FDA so it can be used to support the changes in the medication labeling that should have been done two years before she needed it. Thankful for the ability to figure out how to use my tools that I have to be able to get some things accomplished. Not being able to sit or stand for very long can be completely annoying. But the beauty of having the ugly part on the inside means that I can be completely anonymous about being such a mess. Thankful for the teams of doctors and specialists that learned how to take mangled spines and put them where they belong-for me and all that they do it for. And mostly and lastly I am thankful that the sun came up this morning and I hope that I can make something of today that will make it special.
