Thanking God!!! Our Chewie took off tonight when MJ let him out to pee onto 74 and he went around the house first out back and mj went around there and didnt see him and then heard a yelp and he was on the road. MJ went and scooped him up and ran him back here and said he didnt think he was gonna make it. We took him to the ER in Parkersburg and they shaved all his gashes and said they felt he had no internal bleeding. He lost a nail. We were so upset. He was shaking. We got there and they took him in and said he didnt appear to have internal bleeding but just some nice gashes. His temp was good and he peed and it looked normal. His gums were pink and they said of he is internally bleeding they would be pale. The vet put him down to make sure his legs werent broke and he stood up and walked a couple seconds and flopped down again. We were so happy he even did that! We thought he was paralyzed or they were broke! I cant describe the feeling we were thinking of losing him. He is our baby. He is now laying in his bed and licking his wounds. We have no idea how this 8 lb dog survived this but the vet said he is extremely lucky!! What a night! Thank God!! Praying the night goes well. We have antibiotics and pain meds for him. Love our chewie and so happy he came back home alive with us!!!
