Thanking God today for my brothers and sisters in Christ. I need them-- the fellowship, the guidance, the encouragemnt, the wisdom, the spurring on..... From my Sunday School teacher, Dave Goss, to those who are in the class that bring such interesting perspective and discussions, to the worship leader (leading today was Jeremy Jackson, as it was a beautiful time), to those who sit near me who I can hear sing and worship (and for those of you who know him, "Hallelujah Bob" always encourages with his boldness as he praises with abandon. Pastor Mark, thank you for your messages and the time you spend preparing, and seeking the face of God on behalf of all of us and for pointing out some of the behind the scenes goings on that we never really think about. The wonderful prayer warriers who come to the altar on behalf of others and those who are involved in the various ministries at our church that reach out to those in need in our community. I have a beautiful family, not just at WHittington, but my brothers and sisters in Christ scattered elsewhere, around the globe doing their part--using their gifts-- unified-- ONE body- One Spirit, as it should be. Bind us together ,Lord, with cords that cannot be broken. It was so good to be in the house of the Lord today.
