Thanks - and Phoebe thanks you - for the happy thoughts. Shes actually acting a lot better today - used the box by herself, started drinking on her own, even ate a few bites of chicken and headbutted me with a few big rounds of purring. But still not eating on her own, so that means syringe feeding. And sadly - we got the call that it is kidney failure. And the vet said that his opinion was when she/we were ready, that we put her to sleep. But Bruce and I talked - shes acting so much better today that well keep syringe feeding as long she seems happy otherwise (as indicated by her usual grumpy look in the pic I took this morning). Obviously - it could be tomorrow, could be next week. This is quite definitely the final chapter of a very long, happy life - I just have to remind myself about the last part of that sentence.
