Thanks Abby for the Ice bucket nomination, but you should have know I was never going to do it! Instead I am going to remind everyone that charity is not about making videos of yourself going through mild discomfort, it isnt even something that you should necessarily tell people about. It is about donating whatever you can spare to people and causes that need it because you want to. I hope that this whole Ice Bucket Challenge thing encourages people to donate to WORTHY causes, not just randomly selected charities with good marketing departments and overpaid CEOs. Donate money, time, blood, semen, whatever you have going spare. Buy a homeless person a meal, help an elderly person who needs help. Treat your fellow human beings with respect and never take what you have for granted. The more you give back to the world and the more people change their attitudes to each other and life in general the better the chances we have of surviving as a species. Ps yes I did donate money, not to ALS though. Im not going to tell you what causes you should support.
